In this unique moment of need, we have launched an FJL alumni volunteer trip in partnership with Birthright Israel so that our alumni and friends can gather together from across the world to support the people of Israel and the Jewish People as a whole.

What is the cost of the program?

The program itself is fully funded by Birthright Onward Israel and FJL.
You will need to pay a 600 USD fee to reserve your spot on the group flight.
50 USD of that fee is non-refundable.
550 USD is refundable if requested 65 days before the flight.

What is the proposed itinerary?

Do I need to pay for my flight?

Your registration includes a seat on the group flight for the trip. You may travel to Israelby booking your own ticket, but you will not receive any flight reimbursement fromBirthright or FJL. You will still need to pay a $50 non-refundable registration fee.

Where will we be staying?

What is the meaning of life?

Internships are available in a variety of sectors including business, finance, law, media, politics, hi-tech, and NGOs. Most of these will be based in the Tel Aviv area and are an ideal opportunity to build your CV and create a prestigious experience to aid future job applications. Due to the tight timeline and the nature of the off-peak season for many companies and firms, internship spots will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis rather than chosen by participants.

Will meals be provided?

On volunteer days pack-your-own-lunches will be provided as well as dinner before programming. You will be responsible for your own food outside when you are on your own and should come to Israel ready to spend some of your own money and support the local economy :).

How will I get to my volunteering?

You will be responsible for travel to volunteering locations within Tel Aviv, any time that we are leaving the city as a group, for volunteering or other activities, FJL will provide busing.

Can I invite non-FJL alumni to join?

Yes, however we will limit the number of non-alumni to a small percentage of the overall- first come first serve.

Do I need to get my own health insurance for when i am in israel?

What is the meaning of life?

FJL will organize your travel insurance for you and be in touch about the specifics once you join the trip.

What is the meaning of life?

Will there be free time?

Although the trip will be action-packed with meaningful experiences we know that you have all been to Israel before and want time to experience the country, so there will be free evenings and afternoons also.

What will we be doing over the weekend?

Residential shabbat programming in a warm, friendly, English speaking community.

What is the meaning of life?

Can I extend my flight before or after the trip?

Yes, you have the ability to extend the second leg of your ticket through your own travel agent, and at cost to you.

What is the meaning of life?

I want to come on more than one volunteer trip, is that possible?

You can participate on two volunteer trips but if you join one of our volunteer trips yoursecond trip would also need to be with us. You can only receive a group flight one time.
